NAPLAN data has been collected by the School since its inception. The purpose of the data is to use it meaningfully so that teaching and learning programs can be devised to enhance our students’ strengths and improve in those areas the data suggests could be stronger.

All students at Years 3, 5, 7 and 9 sit the NAPLAN Tests in Literacy and Numeracy. Families receive their own personal report about their son’s achievement in Reading, Writing, Spelling, Grammar and Punctuation and Numeracy.

At St Kevin’s, we do not consciously set out to prepare the boys for the NAPLAN Tests; rather, we make every effort to ensure that our programs of work cover those elements of the Tests that will be assessed and reported on.
